SM Supermalls has been recognized as the Philippines’ Strongest Brand for 2025 by Brand Finance, the world’s leading brand valuation consultancy. Earning a Brand Strength Index (BSI) score of 95.0 out of 100, the highest among Philippine brands, this recognition highlights SM Supermalls’ continued commitment to excellence, innovation, and customer experience.

While SM ranked 10th in overall brand value, with BDO retaining the top spot, it secured the number one position in brand strength. This distinction reflects SM Supermalls’ exceptional influence in marketing, stakeholder trust, and delivering world-class customer experiences. For partners and investors, it signals a brand poised for sustainable growth and long-term value.

“SM Supermalls’ recognition as the strongest Filipino brand reflects its scale, innovation, and strong focus on customer experience,” said Alex Haigh, Managing Director of Brand Finance Asia-Pacific. “Its growing physical footprint and meaningful community role show how deeply it is woven into the fabric of Philippine society.”

These accolades are more than just awards. They reaffirm SM Supermalls’ dedication to reshaping retail, driving digital transformation, and uplifting communities through purpose-driven initiatives. Whether through immersive mall experiences or community-focused campaigns, SM continues to raise the bar in retail innovation.

“These awards are shared with our shoppers, partners, and communities,” said Steven T. Tan, President of SM Supermalls. “Being named the Philippines’ strongest brand is a tribute to our SM family’s passion and commitment. But more importantly, our greatest reward is brightening people’s lives every day.”

Brand Finance evaluates over 5,000 global brands annually and sets the benchmark for ISO-certified brand valuation and evaluation standards. Its rigorous and globally recognized methodology provides valuable insights for companies looking to build trust and pursue strategic growth.

For tenants, corporate partners, and investors, this honor reinforces SM Supermalls as a trusted and dynamic space for collaboration, innovation, and inclusive progress. It is a brand that not only performs but also empowers, connects, and inspires.

As a visionary in Philippine retail with a heart for service, SM Supermalls proves that a brand’s true power lies in how it touches lives and shapes the future. These milestones reflect more than success. They embody a purpose-driven journey to elevate the everyday for millions.
