Prime Video has announced that The Love Hypothesis, the highly anticipated romantic comedy based on Ali Hazelwood’s New York Times best-selling novel, will premiere on September 23, exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide. Starring Lili Reinhart and Tom Bateman, the announcement was accompanied by the release of first-look images from the film.

The story follows Olive (Lili Reinhart), a brilliant Ph.D. candidate focused on her academic future. When she discovers that her best friend Ahn (Rachel Marsh) has feelings for her crush Jeremy (Nicholas Duvernay), Olive impulsively kisses intimidating professor Adam Carlsen (Tom Bateman) to prove she has moved on. What begins as a spontaneous act of friendship evolves into a fake relationship built on rules, boundaries, and a mutually beneficial agreement. As the lines between performance and reality begin to blur, Olive is forced to confront her most challenging hypothesis yet—that love may be worth the risk.
Directed by Claire Scanlon and written by Sarah Rothschild, the film is produced by Elizabeth Cantillon and also stars Rachel Marsh, Nicholas Duvernay, Jaboukie Young-White, and Arty Froushan.
