What happens when Korea’s elite athletes put their competitive skills to the test while looking for a different kind of connection? Disney+ is bringing together some of the country’s fittest athletes for “Love Training Camp,” an energetic new Korean dating reality series currently in production.
The upcoming series will feature elite athletes from different sports as they leave their usual training environments and come together for a series of physical and mental challenges. The competitions will put their athletic abilities, determination, and competitive spirit to the test while giving viewers a glimpse of the personalities behind their sporting careers.
After the challenges, the athletes will have opportunities to relax, get to know one another, and potentially form romantic connections with people who understand the unique demands of competing at the highest levels.
“Love Training Camp” comes from a team of Korean sport-variety creators with extensive experience in producing popular competition and entertainment programs. The series is produced by Sung Chikyong, known for “The Gentlemen’s League” and “Guided Adventure,” and written by Jang Junghee, whose credits include “Shooting Stars” and “Law of the Jungle.”
The series is the latest Korean production greenlit by Disney+ and will premiere exclusively on the streaming platform.
“Love Training Camp” joins Disney+’s growing lineup of Korean reality and variety programs, including “Deadly Tag,” which follows contestants as they compete in a survival game; “I Am Boxer,” featuring 90 boxing hopefuls competing for the chance to become Korea’s next boxing icon; and “The Zone: Survival Mission,” starring Yu Jaeseok, Kwon Yuri, Kim Donghyun, and Dex as they face a series of unpredictable challenges.
More details about “Love Training Camp,” including its cast and release date, will be announced soon. The series will be available exclusively on Disney+.
