Prime Video has announced that Love in Disguise, a new Korean series combining romance, comedy, and thrills, will premiere exclusively on the platform on October 19 in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.
Starring Yim Si-wan and Seorina, the series follows a dangerous investigation that takes an unexpected turn when hidden identities and growing attraction blur the line between duty and love.
Based on the hit web novel Why Don’t You Know It’s a Girl?, which has garnered more than 8.15 million views on Kakao Webtoon, the story centers on Kang Jae-hee, a former special forces officer turned police detective tasked with protecting and investigating Yoon Yi-jun, the cold-blooded heir of a powerful conglomerate who becomes a suspect in a murder case. To uncover the truth and stay close to Yi-jun, Jae-hee disguises herself as a man and infiltrates his security team.
Yim Si-wan (Squid Game Seasons 2 & 3, Run On, Strangers from Hell) plays Yoon Yi-jun, a third-generation chaebol heir who has learned to trust no one amid family politics and constant public scrutiny. After becoming a murder suspect, he hires Jae-hee as his personal bodyguard. Her strength and loyalty slowly break through his defenses, leaving Yi-jun confused by his growing attraction to his seemingly male protector.
Seorina (Oh My Ghost Clients, Twinkling Watermelon, Business Proposal) stars as Kang Jae-hee, an accomplished detective and former special forces operative who disguises herself as a man to become Yi-jun’s bodyguard. Determined to uncover the truth behind the murder case despite being ordered to back off, Jae-hee uses her new position to investigate Yi-jun while protecting him from danger.
Produced by CJ ENM STUDIOS and PITAPAT STUDIO, Love in Disguise explores hidden identities, betrayal, vulnerability, and an unexpected romance. The series will premiere exclusively on Prime Video on October 19, with new episodes released weekly.
Love in Disguise joins Prime Video’s growing lineup of Korean series, international productions, Amazon Originals, and anime titles.
