DC Studios’ Supergirl is set to make its global streaming debut exclusively on HBO Max on Thursday, September 10.
The film stars Milly Alcock, Matthias Schoenaerts, Eve Ridley, David Krumholtz, Emily Beecham, David Corenswet, and Jason Momoa.
Marking Supergirl’s first appearance in the new DC Cinematic Universe, the film follows Kara Zor-El, also known as Supergirl and the cousin of Superman, Kal-El. Headstrong, worldly-wise, and often reckless, Kara embraces a unique approach to heroism, one that is truthful, relatable, and entirely on her own terms.

When an unexpected and ruthless adversary strikes close to home, Kara reluctantly teams up with an unlikely companion. Their interstellar journey forces her to confront the difficult balance between vengeance and justice as they race to save the life of Kara’s best friend, her dog Krypto.
Ultimately, Supergirl explores a different side of heroism, showing that doing good can be difficult and that being a hero does not always mean being nice.
Written by Ana Nogueira and directed by Craig Gillespie, the film is produced by DC Studios heads Peter Safran and James Gunn. Based on characters created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, the movie is executive produced by Nigel Gostelow, Chantal Nong Vo, and Lars P. Winther.
Stream Supergirl exclusively on HBO Max starting September 10. Subscriptions are available from ₱149 per month or ₱1,040 for 12 months, with streaming available across preferred devices.
