Award-winning actress Charo Santos-Concio leads the voice cast of the groundbreaking Filipino animated fantasy series Sun Chaser, which premieres its pilot episode for free on YouTube on Tuesday (June 23) at 12 NN.

Produced by Manila-based Toon City Animation and Playlab, Sun Chaser marks a major milestone in Philippine animation as a creator-owned series developed and produced entirely in the country, bringing Filipino mythology and storytelling to a global audience.
The series features an ensemble cast of Filipino and Filipino-American talents, including Manny Jacinto, Liza Soberano, Eugene Cordero, Dingdong Dantes, Zia Dantes, J.R. De Guzman, AC Bonifacio, and KD Estrada.

At the heart of the story is Jordan Santos (Manny Jacinto), an ordinary teenager whose summer vacation in the Philippines turns into a life-changing adventure when a supernatural force disrupts his island. As ancient powers awaken and buried family secrets emerge, he discovers his destiny as a protector between the human and spirit worlds.
Created by Filipino animation talents Bobby Pontillas and Bernard Badion, Sun Chaser blends heartfelt storytelling with world-class animation expertise. The project has already gained international recognition, winning the Animation du Monde Prize at Annecy/MIFA 2025, one of the industry’s most prestigious platforms for emerging animated works.

Filipino audiences can stream the pilot episode of Sun Chaser for free on YouTube starting Tuesday (June 23) at 12 NN, with a Kickstarter campaign set to launch alongside the premiere to support future episodes and the development of its full first season.
