Starting May 8, the top-rated Kapamilya series ‘FPJ’s Batang Quiapo’ will open a new chapter, leading Tanggol (Coco Martin) on a new adventure with his family and Mokang (Lovi Poe). During the media conference on May 4, Martin shared that the stakes will be higher now that the people who should be part of Tanggol’s life are coming.

Joining the new chapter of Batang Quiapo are Christopher de Leon as Ramon Montenegro and Lorna Tolentino as Amanda Salonga. De Leon is Tanggol’s father that already appear occasionally in the earlier episodes of the series and played by Martin during the first week together with Miles Ocampo as the young Marites, now played by Cherry Pie Picache.

Lorna and Christopher both plays antagonist in FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano. They played the roled Lily and Mike, respectively.

It will also mark the beginning of Tanggol’s development as a better person after learning so many things in Quiapo and with the guidance of his grandmother Tindeng, played by Charo Santos. Santos shared during the media conference that she learned a lot from Martin. According to her, there are times when Coco improvises in their scenes, which challenges her to come up with lines that will not reveal the secrets that her character is keeping.

With the success of FPJ’s Batang Quiapo, Coco is thankful for the unwavering support of everyone since the show started in February. To show their gratitude they launched ‘Katok Bahay’ activity to personally chat with them about their favorite moments in the series and it will be done in different parts of the Philippines with the cast of the show.

FPJ’s Batang Quiapo also stars John Estrada, Mccoy de Leon, Julio Diaz, Pen Medina, Susan Africa, Lou Veloso, Ronnie Lazaro, and Allan Paule.

‘FPJ’s Batang Quiapo’ is inspired by the original story of Regal Films. It airs on weeknights at 8 PM on Kapamilya Channel, A2Z, TV5, iWantTFC, and Kapamilya Online Live on ABS-CBN Entertainment’s YouTube channel and Facebook page.
