Last February 12. Kapamilya stars Jericho Rosales and Mylene Dizon accepted the cook-off challenge given by Isla Sugbu Seafood City in connection with the SuTuKil campaign in The Grand Con in Cebu City. Cebu is one of the places in the Philippines that is known for rich in marine resources and diverse cooking. Sutukil stands for Su for Suba or grilled, Tu for Tinuwa or soup and Kil for Kilaw or raw meat in vinegar with onions, ginger and garlic.
Jericho and Mylene competed with the help of Isla Sugbu Seafood City chefs to create three SuTuKil dishes and the judges are the diners and guests of the restaurants. The winner will receive cash prize for their chosen charity while the loser takes consolation that’s still good enough.
Mylene and Chef Atong were blue team and presented tasty grilled tuna, mixed seafood bowl that’s very rich in flavor and my favorite fish kinilaw that’s perfectly tangy and spicy.
Meanwhile, yellow team comprises of Jericho and Chef Sheena cooked mouthwatering stuffed grilled squid, shrimp soup and fish kinilaw.
In the end, Mylene won the cook-off.
