From being one of the twitter accounts of the ABS-CBN News Channel (ANC), @ANCAlerts is now a TV Show that will offer a variety trending news from politics, lifestyle and anything that touches the interest of every Filipinos worldwide. It will be hosted by a self proclaimed twitted addict TJ Manotoc with former Cityscape host Lexi Schulze. The @ANCAlerts show will be airing from Monday to Friday in ANC at 4:30 p.m beginning June 11.
As of now the ANCAlerts twitter has 450,000 followers and still growing where it offers latest issues netizens are discussing online, user-generated content, “Bayan Mo, iPatrol Mo” stories, and real time feedback from ANC viewers from politics, entertainment, lifestyle and interesting topics that concern the bigger population online. So viewers can participate on the actual exchange of thoughts and views on the show as production team of this interactive – social media based news show of ANC will be featuring tweets and Facebook posts from their viewers based on the topic being discussed.
Sadly, TJ Manotoc will be in the United States to cover the NBA Finals starting next week but according to him ANC has already work out something to push on the kick off of the show where they will be using Skype. It is also a social media tool that will help him to connect to the viewers of ANC and his co-host Lexi as they pilot the show by Monday until he returns to the country after his coverage of the NBA Finals. While Lexi who left her lifestyle show in ANC entitled Cityscape she will be replaced by Phoemela Baranda who is also a good host and a fashionista that is perfect to the show.
