Jollibee is bringing its spirit of friendship and togetherness to the big screen through a global collaboration with DreamWorks Animation and Filipino girl group BINI for the worldwide theatrical release of Forgotten Island on September 23, 2026.
The film follows lifelong best friends Jo and Raissa, whose lives take an unexpected turn when a mysterious portal transports them to Nakali, a fantastical island inhabited by mythical creatures inspired by stories from their Filipino families. When they discover that returning home could mean losing the memories of their friendship, the two must find a way to escape without forgetting each other.
The film features an impressive lineup of Filipino and Filipino-American talent, including Tony Award winner Lea Salonga, global comedy star Jo Koy, Grammy and Academy Award winner H.E.R., actress Liza Soberano, and co-writer and co-director Januel Mercado.
“Great stories and great food both have a way of bringing people together,” said David Beal, Jollibee Group global chief marketing officer and head of digital marketing. He said the collaboration invites friends and families to celebrate the joy of friendship through the film and by sharing a Jollibee meal together.
The Filipino connection extends to the Forgotten Island soundtrack, with BINI contributing the upbeat electronic-pop song “A Parallel World.” Featuring English and Filipino lyrics, the track was released on July 23. BINI also performed the song during the Forgotten Island panel at San Diego Comic-Con in July, further connecting the group and the film with audiences worldwide.
The music video for “A Parallel World” also features Jollibee, showing the BINI members enjoying their favorite meals and sharing candid moments while in the United States for the song’s recording and related activities. Dorothy Ching, vice president for marketing of Jollibee Philippines, said the partnership is particularly meaningful because Forgotten Island brings together universal themes of friendship and family with Filipino-inspired storytelling.
The Jollibee, DreamWorks Animation, and BINI collaboration brings together global entertainment, Filipino talent, and a shared spirit of togetherness, extending the Forgotten Island experience beyond the cinema and into everyday moments shared over a meal.
