Building wealth can take different forms for every client—from gaining access to more attainable investment opportunities to receiving personalized guidance and timely market insights as financial priorities change.
EastWest continues to respond to these evolving needs by expanding access to select investment products and enhancing its wealth management services. These efforts earned the Bank two International Finance Magazine (IFM) recognitions: Most Innovative Securities Broker – Philippines and Best Priority Banking Experience – Philippines, with the latter marking EastWest Priority’s fourth consecutive win.
The awards recognize two key areas of EastWest’s business. Through its Financial Markets Distribution Group, the Bank has made US dollar-denominated government securities more accessible, while EastWest Priority has continued to strengthen its wealth management offering for affluent Filipino clients through personalized advice, investment solutions, market intelligence, and lifestyle services.
As the four-time winner of Best Priority Banking Experience – Philippines, EastWest Priority continues to expand beyond traditional preferred banking by providing a more comprehensive wealth management experience. Its approach centers on four pillars: hyper-personalized portfolio solutions, expert relationship management, market intelligence, and curated lifestyle privileges, supporting clients across financial planning, investments, protection, and legacy planning.

Clients can access a broad range of financial solutions, including deposits, insurance, bonds, Unit Investment Trust Funds, equities, foreign exchange solutions, portfolio management services, and selected alternative investments. Dedicated Priority Relationship Managers provide a single point of contact for clients’ banking and wealth management needs, supported by 13 Priority Banking centers nationwide, digital banking services, and advisory support. By the end of 2025, EastWest Priority’s assets under management had grown 40% year on year.
The Bank has also taken steps to make foreign-currency investments more accessible. EastWest introduced US dollar Treasury Bills and Bonds with a minimum investment of USD10,000, significantly below market thresholds that can range from USD50,000 to USD200,000. Developed in collaboration with Philippine Dealing Services Corp., the initiative offers a lower entry point alongside competitive and transparent pricing and a more streamlined transaction and settlement process. EastWest has also enrolled 21 US dollar Treasury Bills in the central securities depository, making them accessible to investors beyond the Bank’s own client base.
To further broaden participation, EastWest introduced Bond Pooling, allowing multiple investors to combine their funds to meet minimum investment requirements for securities that may otherwise be difficult to access individually. Together, these initiatives contributed to a 390% year-on-year increase in volume. “We want more clients to participate in investment opportunities that may have seemed out of reach before, while giving them advice that is relevant to where they are in their financial journey,” said Rafael S. Algarra Jr., SEVP and Head of Financial Markets and Wealth Management of EastWest. He added that receiving the Best Priority Banking Experience award for the fourth consecutive year, alongside the Most Innovative Securities Broker recognition, reinforces the Bank’s commitment to developing solutions that respond to clients’ evolving financial needs.
