Prime Video is turning up the heat with “Final Table,” a new culinary drama starring Ahn Hyo-seop, Hong Hwa-yeon, and Chang Ryul. The series premieres October 24 on Prime Video in Singapore and more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.
For the first time, Ahn Hyo-seop steps into the role of a chef, playing Kang Han, a Korean-born culinary talent known internationally by the name “Chris K.” Having built his career at restaurants overseas while keeping his Korean roots and personal history private, Kang Han returns to Korea following a mysterious incident and becomes the head chef of Famiglia.
He soon enters “The Table: K-Chef 2026,” a prestigious culinary competition searching for Korea’s finest chef. But as the contestants battle through one demanding challenge after another, the competition becomes about more than creating the perfect dish.
Among the contenders is Choi Song-yi (Hong Hwa-yeon), the only daughter of Choi Seung-hyo, regarded as the godfather of Western cuisine in Korea. Determined to save her late father’s struggling restaurant, Famiglia, Song-yi crosses paths with Kang Han, setting the stage for a relationship that could change both their lives.
Meanwhile, Cha Woo-jin (Chang Ryul) is Korea’s celebrated perfectionist chef, known for running one of the country’s finest contemporary restaurants. Six years earlier, Woo-jin suffered the only defeat of his career at the hands of a chef known as Chris K. Now, with their paths crossing again, an old rivalry is reignited.
As Kang Han, Song-yi, and Woo-jin compete for culinary glory, their individual struggles and personal stories begin to unfold alongside every dish. What starts as a fierce battle for the top spot gradually becomes a journey of unexpected connections, healing, and discovering what truly matters beyond winning.
Ahn Hyo-seop, known for “Dr. Romantic” Seasons 2 and 3, “Business Proposal,” “Sold Out on You,” and “KPop Demon Hunters,” takes on a fresh challenge with his first chef role, bringing a new dimension to his acting repertoire.
“Final Table” is produced by SLL, B.A. Entertainment, and DZoongFilm, with Kim Doh-hoon, known for “Moon Embracing the Sun,” “Chimera,” and “Medical Top Team,” serving as writer and director.
