Nine years after being framed, a fallen prosecutor returns to settle the score in Made in Korea Season 2, premiering September 9 exclusively on Disney+.
Named one of TIME’s most anticipated K-dramas of 2026, the second season follows Baek Kitae as he continues his ruthless rise to power after successfully framing prosecutor Jang Geonyoung. Now serving as Deputy Director of the Korean CIA (KCIA), Kitae expands his wealth, influence, and drug operations across the region, but political unrest and growing public discontent threaten to disrupt his empire.
From the shadows, Geonyoung finally resurfaces with revenge nine years in the making. With higher stakes and everything on the line, the former prosecutor and Kitae will stop at nothing and cross every boundary to destroy each other once and for all.
Returning to the series are Hyun Bin (Crash Landing on You, Confidential Assignment) as Baek Kitae, Jung Woosung (12.12: The Day, Hunt) as Jang Geonyoung, and Woo Dohwan (Bloodhounds, Mr. Plankton) as Kitae’s brother, Baek Kihyun.
Season 2 reunites the creative team behind the first installment, with Park Eunkyo (The Silent Sea, Mother) returning as writer and Woo Minho (The Man Standing Next, Inside Men) as director. The series is produced by Hive Media Corp, known for films including Inside Men, The Man Standing Next, and 12.12: The Day.
Made in Korea Season 2 will premiere with two episodes on September 9, followed by two new episodes every Wednesday through September 23.
The first season became the most-viewed Korean Original premiere of 2025 on Disney+ in the Asia-Pacific region, following Kitae’s double life as a KCIA agent and the mastermind behind an illegal smuggling operation. His pursuit of power and wealth eventually puts him on a collision course with Geonyoung, a determined prosecutor who refuses to be intimidated or corrupted.
All six episodes of Season 1 are currently available on Disney+, alongside other Korean titles such as A Shop for Killers Seasons 1 and 2, The Manipulated, and Tempest.
