Prime Video has officially confirmed that Blade Runner 2099, the highly anticipated live-action expansion of the iconic science fiction franchise, will premiere on November 25, 2026. All eight episodes of the limited series will stream exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.
The announcement was made during the platform’s Hall H presentation at San Diego Comic-Con, where stars Michelle Yeoh and Hunter Schafer joined showrunner Silka Luisa and executive producers Andrew Kosove and Broderick Johnson to unveil the series before more than 6,500 fans.

Set 50 years after the events of Blade Runner 2049, the series takes viewers back to a reimagined Los Angeles, a city rebuilt not by humanity but by forces that continue to blur the line between humans and Replicants.
Hunter Schafer stars as Cora, a fugitive determined to stop running by taking on one final identity as a Blade Runner. She is forced to partner with Olwen (Michelle Yeoh), a Replicant nearing the end of her lifespan, as they hunt down a mysterious runaway whose secret could bring their fragile city to collapse.

The series also stars Dimitri Abold and Lewis Gribben as series regulars, with Katelyn Rose Downey, Daniel Rigby, Johnny Harris, Amy Lennox, Sheila Atim, Matthew Needham, Tom Burke, and Maurizio Lombardi appearing in recurring roles.
Blade Runner 2099 is led by showrunner and executive producer Silka Luisa, with Ridley Scott serving as executive producer alongside Alcon Entertainment founders Andrew Kosove and Broderick Johnson, Alcon Television President Ben Roberts, David W. Zucker, Clayton Krueger, Tom Spezialy, Richard Sharkey, Michael Green, Cynthia Yorkin, Frank Giustra, and Isa Dick Hackett. Jonathan van Tulleken (Shogun) directed the first two episodes and also serves as executive producer, while Steven Johnson is co-executive producer.
Produced by Alcon Entertainment, Blade Runner 2099 continues the legacy of one of science fiction’s most influential franchises, following the original 1982 classic and the Academy Award-winning Blade Runner 2049. With Michelle Yeoh and Hunter Schafer leading a new story of identity, survival, and the future of humanity, the series promises to introduce a fresh chapter while honoring the world created by Ridley Scott.
Blade Runner 2099 premieres November 25, exclusively on Prime Video.
