Ready ka na bang mamukadkad? Flower Girl is here to shake, slay, and bloom its way into the spotlight with a wild, laugh-out-loud ride that explores love, womanhood, and what it really means to be a “modern Filipina”—even without a poochy.
From the powerhouse trio behind some of Philippine cinema’s most unforgettable titles—The IdeaFirst Company (Die Beautiful, And The Breadwinner Is…), Octobertrain (Bwakaw, Barber’s Tales), and CreaZion Studios (Isang Himala, Everything About My Wife)—comes a film that’s as fearless as it is funny.
Starring Sue Ramirez, Martin del Rosario, and Jameson Blake, Flower Girl also features KaladKaren and Maxie Andreison serving looks and literal magic. It’s written and directed by Fatrick Tabada, known for the cult comedy Patay na Si Hesus.
The story follows Ena (Ramirez), a sanitary napkin endorser and all-around modern Pinay. But after a heated encounter with a trans woman in a women’s restroom—played by KaladKaren—who she wrongly tells to “use the men’s room,” Ena wakes up cursed. Her vagina? Gone. The culprit? A babaylan-fairy out for karmic justice.
Now, Ena must fall in real, fated, soulmate-level love before a mystical flower drops its last petal—or risk losing her “girlhood” forever.
“This film is an irreverent comedy tackling gender politics, but we made it fun, fearless, and fierce,” says director Fatrick Tabada. “It asks: If you lose your flower, who will still love you? More importantly—who are you without it?”
Perci Intalan, president of The IdeaFirst Company, adds, “Flower Girl pushes conversations forward by highlighting stories often left untold in the Filipina experience.”
CreaZion Studios’ CEO RJ San Agustin agrees: “We’re not just telling Filipino stories—we’re rewriting HERstory, with or without a poochy.”
If you’re into sharp comedy, unexpected twists, and fearless storytelling, Flower Girl is the cinematic bloom you won’t want to miss.
Coming to major cinemas this June.
