Before it official opening on September 11, I had the chance to try GoodFellas Steaks and Burgers located at the 36 T. Gener cor. K-1st street in Kamuning, Quezon City. The area is known for its affordable steaks and burger meals that range from P300-500 per serving. With cozy ambiance complimented by 80’s to early 90’s music the mood of the place was set for a fine dining atmosphere for friends, families and co-workers with free parking and wi-fi.

Here are some of GoodFellas’ specialties for those who wanted to have a preview of what they offer:

(Carlito’s Gang – Angus Salpicao for sharing – P375;  Carlito’s Way – for solo with rice  – P225)
(Gambino Family – Shrimp Salpicao with Mushroom for sharing – P375; Gambino Crew for solo with rice and mixed vegetables – P325)

(WiseGuy Burger – 200 grams honey cured bacon cheese burger with tomato and lettuce – P295; with fries and drink – P345)

(Jimmy Two Times – Grilled pork chop and fried pork chop with mushroom gravy served with pilaf rice and mixed vegetables – P295)

(Bambino Ribs – baby back pork ribs served with rice pilaf and mixed vegetables – P226 (Quarter), P325 (Half))
(Goodfellas House Steak – 8-10 ounce Angus Beef steak served with mixed vegetables and mashed potato or rice pilaf – P325)
Among the dishes my personal favorite are;  Carlito’s Way/Gang where I enjoyed the tenderness of the beef and the sweet and salty taste of the sauce and it is worth to be partnered with rice rather than eating it at is. Jimmy Times Two is worth the try especially for those couples who enjoys sharing in the plate, I like the grilled pork chop over the fried one and lastly Goodfellas House Steak completes my cravings for angus beef, unlike others I like it well done and still the tenderness of the meat is there and I enjoyed it with the mashed potato the right texture and buttery the way I wanted.
A hearty meal doesn’t concludes without a delectable dessert, here are some cakes that GoodFellas offer:

Carrot Cake is always my personal choice in terms of desserts, I love the tenderness of bread with  walnut chunks and medium sweet icing.

Steaks will always be complimented with wines* that brings out the sweetness of the grilled meat, here are the wines that GoodFellas is serving in their restaurant.

(Casillero del Diablo)
(Trio Reserva)
(Sunshine by Merlot)

Sunshine by Merlot is not as strong the other two (Trio Reserva and Casillero del Diablo), the bitter sweetness of Sunshine compliments with the steak and meat and it best for those who really wanted to enjoy it with good food.Wines range from P600-P900 per bottle.
