Filipino textiles, craftsmanship, and creative heritage take the spotlight as the 16th Likhang HABI Market Fair (LHMF) returns to SPACE at One Ayala in Makati City from October 9 to 11, 2026.

With the theme “Worth Every Thread,” this year’s three-day fair brings together weavers, artisans, designers, makers, and textile advocates in a curated celebration of Filipino artistry, heritage, and the evolving future of Philippine textiles. As the flagship project of HABI: The Philippine Textile Council, LHMF offers visitors different ways to discover, appreciate, and support the people and traditions behind every piece.

Shop with purpose

More than a hundred makers and textile artisans will gather for a marketplace featuring handwoven textiles, fashion, accessories, home pieces, crafts, and other creations. From grassroots weaving communities and small enterprises to established brands and contemporary designers, exhibitors showcase how Filipino fibers and traditional techniques continue to find a place in modern life.

Explore HABI Lectures

HABI LECTURES brings together practitioners and experts for conversations about Philippine textiles, covering cultural heritage and preservation, curation, product development, entrepreneurship, and the challenges faced by weaving communities.

Admission is Php 200, with a special student rate of Php 150. Visitors can check the HABI Council website for schedules and reservations.

Discover exhibits, workshops, and weaving competitions

A major highlight of the fair is the exhibition of 40 entries from across the Philippines for the 9th Lourdes Montinola Piña Weaving Competition and the 5th Eloisa Hizon Gomez Abaca Weaving Competition. The combined showcase highlights the skill, creativity, and craftsmanship of Filipino weavers working with two of the country’s most distinctive natural fibers.

The Benilde Fashion Museum will also present a mini exhibition of Philippine fashion heritage featuring works by renowned Filipino designers from the 20th century. Special activities by The Mahalina Foundation and Museo Pambata, along with workshops from select vendors, will add more opportunities for visitors to engage with Philippine textile culture.

Watch TELAserye: HABI Docu Screenings

Visitors can also see the people and communities behind Philippine textiles through TELAserye: HABI Docu Screenings, featuring documentaries on local textile traditions and weaving communities, including selected documentaries from GMA News and Public Affairs’ i-Witness.

The lineup includes “Kinakalingang Habi,” followed by a talk-back session with Howie Severino, and “Agkulol,” with a talk-back session with Mariz Umali. Admission to the screenings and discussions is free.

Taste Filipino food

The textile experience extends to food, with select vendors such as The Plaza Catering offering Filipino treats, regional specialties, artisanal products, and other local finds for visitors to enjoy while exploring the fair.

The 16th Likhang HABI Market Fair, themed “Worth Every Thread,” runs from October 9 to 11, 2026, at SPACE, One Ayala in Makati City.
