Vice Ganda and Vic Sotto are officially joining forces for the first time on the big screen in the upcoming comedy film The Greatest Showdown, which is set to premiere in cinemas in 2026.
Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Jun Robles Lana, the highly anticipated movie brings together two of the Philippines’ biggest comedy icons in what promises to be a laugh-filled cinematic event.
The pair made the announcement together, sharing their excitement about collaborating on a project that aims to entertain audiences nationwide.
“Kailangan namin magsanib-pwersa para ibigay ang tawa, halakhak, at kaligayahan na kailangan ng mga Pilipino. Hardcore, todo-comedy ang gagawin naming dalawa,” Vice Ganda said, teasing the film’s comedic premise.
Vic Sotto likewise expressed his enthusiasm, saying the movie is not only meant to entertain but also leave audiences with valuable lessons.
“Ang pelikulang ito ay magbibigay ligaya sa taong bayan. Magpapasaya tayo at magpapatawa tayo. Sinisiguro rin namin na marami kayong mapupulot na aral,” he shared.
The Greatest Showdown marks the first on-screen collaboration between the two box office stars, whose decades-long careers have made them household names in Philippine entertainment. Their pairing is expected to be one of the biggest local movie events of 2026.
The film is a co-production of ABS-CBN Studios, Star Cinema, The IdeaFirst Company, M-Zet Productions, and APT Entertainment. Further details about the cast and storyline are expected to be announced in the coming months as anticipation continues to build for the historic team-up.
