Netflix has announced June 19 as the global premiere date for its upcoming action-comedy film Husbands in Action, alongside the release of its teaser trailer and poster. Centered on a chaotic but comedic premise of an ex-husband and current husband forced to work together, the film promises a light, fast-paced mix of action and humor.
The teaser introduces narcotics detective Choong-sik (Jin Sun-kyu) and Min-seok (Gong Myoung), the current husband of Choong-sik’s ex-wife Si-nae (Kang Hanna). Tension erupts when the two men meet at a school event for their daughter, exposing their rivalry as ex-husband and stepfather. Their conflict takes a sudden turn when Si-nae and her daughter are kidnapped, forcing the two to reluctantly team up to bring them home.
As the rescue mission unfolds, the teaser highlights their clashing personalities—one a seasoned, serious detective, the other a younger, charming veterinarian—leading to a steady stream of comedic friction amid high-stakes action. The film leans into its buddy-comedy dynamic, balancing suspense with sharp timing and character-driven humor.

Husbands in Action features an ensemble cast including Jin Sun-kyu, Gong Myoung, Kim Ji-suk, Yoon Kyung-ho, Kang Hanna, Lee Da-hee, and Jeon So-min, each adding layers to the chaotic world surrounding the central conflict. Directed by Park Gyu-tae, known for his background in comedy and the film 6/45, the project blends action set pieces with strong comedic chemistry.
Husbands in Action premieres June 19, only on Netflix.
