Ji Changwook stars as Park Taejoong, a principled and hard-working man whose life is turned upside down when he is arrested for the brutal rape and murder of a woman he swears he has never met. Sentenced to life in prison, Taejoong loses everything. His world changes again when a new inmate with an eerily similar story reveals that a larger conspiracy may be at play. Fueled by rage and grief, Taejoong embarks on a mission to uncover the truth and bring those responsible to justice.
Premiering with four back-to-back episodes followed by two new installments each week, The Manipulated builds toward an explosive finale on December 3. The series also stars Doh Kyungsoo (The Moon, Swing Kids) as An Yohan and is written by acclaimed screenwriter Oh Sangho (Taxi Driver, Fabricated City), with direction by Park Sinwoo (The Killing Vote) and Kim Changjoo (Hard Hit).
The Manipulated joins Disney+’s growing collection of must-watch Korean originals including Nine Puzzles, The Worst of Evil, Gangnam B-Side and Vigilante.
