Bell-Kenz Pharma, through the Bell-Kenz Foundation, has partnered with PHINMA Education to officially launch the First 1000 Days Nutrition (F1KD) Program, a major initiative aimed at combating child malnutrition and stunting in the Philippines. The collaboration was formalized through a recently held Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signing and will be rolled out across PHINMA campuses and affiliated communities.

Leveraging its deep expertise in healthcare, Bell-Kenz Pharma will provide medical support, research capabilities, and community-based health initiatives focused on the crucial developmental period from conception to a child’s second birthday.

“An estimated 33% of Filipino children under five suffer from stunting,” noted Christopher Tan, Country Head of PHINMA Education Philippines. “While success is still possible for these children, their chances of acquiring the necessary skills for gainful employment are significantly reduced. That’s why we are committed to launching intervention centers focused on early childhood nutrition.”

“This is more than a program. It is a movement,” said Dr. James Cayetano, President of the Bell-Kenz Foundation. “Together with PHINMA Education, we aim to build communities that prioritize health, child development, and long-term well-being.”

The F1KD Program, currently being piloted in Cebu, seeks to deliver a grassroots impact and serve as a scalable model for broader implementation in the coming months.

Dr. Cayetano also expressed confidence in the initiative’s potential. “We’re inspired by PHINMA’s commitment and believe this partnership will yield outcomes greater than the sum of its parts.”

This initiative underscores Bell-Kenz Pharma’s dedication to public health, education, and community development. It empowers families and invests in a healthier future for the next generation.
