Smile 2, the highly anticipated sequel to the box office horror sensation Smile, is rated R-18 and will hit cinemas in its full, uncut glory on October 16.

In 2022, the psychological horror film Smile took the world by storm, grossing an impressive $217 million at the global box office. This year, Smile 2 raises the stakes with a gripping story centered around global pop sensation Skye Riley, played by Naomi Scott (Aladdin, Charlie’s Angels). As she prepares to embark on a new world tour, Skye begins to experience terrifying and inexplicable events. Overwhelmed by the mounting horrors and the pressures of fame, she must confront her dark past to regain control of her life before it spirals out of control.

Here are some reasons you won’t want to miss Smile 2, in cinemas starting October 16:

Higher Stakes, Massive Scale
Directed by Parker Finn, who helmed the original film, Smile 2 continues the twisted and terrifying saga of the curse introduced in Smile. With the focus now on global pop star Skye Riley, the stakes are higher, the stage is bigger, and the horrors are more devastating. What better way to experience these nightmares than on the big screen—completely uncut?

What Happens to Joel?
Like all great horror films, the original Smile left us with a cliffhanger. Smile 2 picks up right where the first movie ended, revealing the fate of Joel now that the curse has been passed to him. Fans will discover the shocking truth without delay.

Familiar Faces, Bigger Names
Sosie Bacon’s captivating portrayal of therapist Rose Cotter in the first film was a key factor in Smile’s success. Now, Smile 2 features an even more star-studded cast. While the mind-bending horrors unleashed by the Smile Entity might make some viewers squirm, Naomi Scott, Rosemarie DeWitt (La La Land, Rachel Getting Married), and Lukas Gage (You, Euphoria, Fargo) will keep audiences glued to their seats.

Naomi Scott as Skye Riley, the Pop Star
Whether performing on stage, meeting fans at a convention, or trying to relax at home, Scott delivers a riveting performance as the increasingly troubled global pop sensation, Skye Riley. Get ready to sing along to some catchy tunes from Riley’s album, Skye is Limitless.

That Iconic Smile
Say cheese! We can’t wait to see you smile—then scream!

Smile 2, distributed in the Philippines by Paramount Pictures through Columbia Pictures, is rated R-18 and will haunt Philippine cinemas—uncut—starting October 16.
