EastWest Rural Bank and EastWest Unibank proudly sponsored the National Teachers’ Day celebration organized by the Department of Education (DepEd) as part of the 2024 National Teachers’ Month (NTM). Held at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City on Thursday, October 3, the event marked the culmination of DepEd’s month-long campaign to honor the invaluable contributions of educators nationwide. With nearly 10,000 teachers and educational stakeholders in attendance, the day featured an exciting lineup of activities, including Zumba, moving tributes, raffle prizes, and vibrant performances.

A special highlight was the surprise appearance and performance of Donny Pangilinan, ambassador of EastWest’s new digital banking platform, EasyWay. Donny’s commitment to financial literacy, aligned with his personal advocacy, added deeper significance to his tribute to teachers.

As part of its ongoing commitment to educators, EastWest Rural Bank offers the Teachers’ Loan, a product specifically tailored for teachers, providing special rates and flexible financing options. This product is designed to help educators achieve both personal and professional goals, underscoring the bank’s dedication to empowering those who play a crucial role in shaping the future.

“We at EastWest Rural Bank are honored to support this year’s ‘Together4Teachers’ theme, which deeply aligns with our mission to uplift the unsung heroes of education. Through Appreciation, Admiration, Approval, and Attention, we stand with the Department of Education to ensure that our teachers receive the recognition and support they so greatly deserve. Their dedication shapes the future, and it’s a privilege to be part of a celebration that values their incredible contributions to society,” said Sheila S. Marasigan-Bajado, President of EastWest Rural Bank.
