Finally the well-loved characters – Glinda and Elphaba are now here in the Philippines for a limited time presentation of Wicked: The Untold Story of the Witches of Oz or Wicked at the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) Main Theater from January 22 to February 23, 2014. Produced by Marc Platt, David Stone, Universal Pictures, The Araca Group, Jon B. Platt and John Frost as presented by Lunchbox Theatrical Productions, David Atkins Enterprises, Concertus Manila in association with WICKED Worldwide and with partnership with SMART Infinity, the Wicked in Manila features the Australasian Tour group lead by Jemma Rix (Elphaba), Suzie Mathers (Glinda), Jay Laga’aia (The Wizard) and Steve Danielsen (Fiyero).
Wicked celebrates its 10th year on stage with 50 major awards including a Grammy, 3 Tony Awards, and 6 Helpmann Awards. Included in the Jan. 22 to Feb. 23 performance is a fund raising for the Yolanda (Haiyan) survivors at the matinee show of Jan. 31 (1:30PM) along with auction of Glinda’s want and walk on part of the show.
