In line with their release on December 25 with the rest of the 7 Metro Manila Film Festival entries for 2012, The Strangers releases their official poster and full trailer. The teen horror film directed by Lawrence Fajardo and stars Enchong Dee, Julia Montes, Enrique Gil, and JM De Guzman is under the production of Quantum Films and MJM Productions. The Strangers will be distributed by Star Cinema together with other two 2012 MMFF entries One More Try and Sisterakas.

The film follows the story of the family who get lost in a province that was allegedly haunted by the Aswangs (creatures of darkness). Max (Gil) and Patricia (Montes) together with the rest of their family will be seeing the so called aswangs and must do everything in order to survive. With the help of Dolfo who is an aswang killer/haunter he will try to save the family especially Patricia who captured his heart. But for those who lives in the village they believed that Dolfo is also an aswang after an alleged death where he involved with. How the family members of Patricia will believe in him to be the savior if the urban legend in the town points him as one of the killers?
