As the John Lloyd Cruz and Bea Alonzo love team returns to the big screen with the film The Mistress of Star Cinema, the on cam couple shared their thoughts about their comeback movie though the Take One Presents. The Mistress was directed by Olivia Lamasan and will be showing on September 12, 2012.
According to Bea playing the role of Sari is very different from what she always does in most her film that fell in love with the characters played by John Lloyd and easily goes straight to happy ending. In The Mistress, she will be falling in love with Rico played by Ronaldo Valdez and became the other woman. Before Ronaldo played Bea’s father in I Love Betty La Fea where she was paired with John Lloyd too, while Hilda Koronel playing Regina the wife of Rico is also Bea and John Lloyd’s co-actor in the 2006 teleserye Ikaw Ang Lahat Sa Akin in ABS-CBN.

The film focuses on the character of Sari played by Bea Alonzo who is the mistress of a business man named Rico (Valdez) and the wife named Regina (Koronel) is aware of her existence. But JD (Cruz) comes to the scene and starting falling in love with Sari even though he has knowledge in the story of the woman he loves. JD pursues Sari until she finally fell in love with him. But things became complicated when Sari is having the hard time to choose between him and Rico.
The Mistress also stars Anita Linda, Carmi Martin, K Brosas, Tony Mabesa, Gabe Mercado, Minne Aguilar, Nor Domingo and Clarence Delgado. This was the movie of Bea and John Lloyd after their film with Star Cinema entitled Miss You Like Crazy in 2010 and this also kicks off the series of projects that will be given to them including their teleserye comeback entitled A Beautiful Affair that will be airing on ABS-CBN very soon.
