Two weeks to go before the release of The Mistress in all theaters nationwide, Star Cinema continuously excites the followers of Bea Alonzo and John Lloyd Cruz as they await for the return of the two on the big screen. Publicity photos of Bea and John Lloyd together and the rest of the cast including Hilda Koronel and Ronaldo Valdez are now available in Star Cinema’s official Facebook Page. The Mistress was directed by the multi-awarded film maker Olivia Lamasan and will be showing in all cinemas nationwide beginning September 12, 2012 and international screening in selected areas will immediately follows.
The Mistress marks the 10th year anniversary of the on-cam love team of Bea and John Lloyd where they produces successful box office films and top-rating teleserye including One More Chance, Maging Sino Ka Man, Maging Sino Ka Man Book 2 and I Love Betty La Fea. The film focuses on the character of Sari played by Bea Alonzo who is the mistress of a business man named Rico (Valdez) and the wife named Regina (Koronel) is aware of her existence. But JD (Cruz) comes to the scene and starting falling in love with Sari even though he has knowledge in the story of the woman he loves. JD pursues Sari until she finally fell in love with him. But things became complicated when Sari is having the hard time to choose between him and Rico.
The Mistress also stars Anita Linda, Carmi Martin, K Brosas, Tony Mabesa, Gabe Mercado, Minne Aguilar, Nor Domingo and Clarence Delgado. This was the movie of Bea and John Lloyd after their film with Star Cinema entitled Miss You Like Crazy in 2010 and this also kicks off the series of projects that will be given to them including their teleserye comeback entitled A Beautiful Affair that will be airing on ABS-CBN very soon.
