Riot Games is bringing back its virtual hip-hop collective True Damage for “Know My Name,” the official anthem of the 2026 League of Legends World Championship, marking the group’s first release since its 2019 debut hit “GIANTS.”
Released through Riot Games and Virgin Music Group, “Know My Name” premiered on October 8 across major streaming platforms, alongside the official music video on the League of Legends YouTube channel. The track is the 13th anthem created for the annual esports tournament.
True Damage brings together five League of Legends champions as virtual music artists: Akali, Ekko, Qiyana, Senna, and Yasuo. Known for their distinct musical styles and personalities, the collective made its debut in 2019 with “GIANTS,” which has accumulated more than 230 million streams across platforms.
For its 2026 comeback, True Damage features an international lineup of artists, with SOYEON of i-dle returning as Akali, Coco Jones as Senna, Vic Mensa as Ekko, and Sofía Reyes as Qiyana.
Blending hip-hop with global musical influences, “Know My Name” celebrates ambition, individuality, and the determination to reach the highest level of competition. The anthem reflects the journey of players and teams working toward the World Championship stage, where the world’s top League of Legends competitors meet to battle for the title.
Maria Egan, global head of music at Riot Games, said the collective was a fitting choice for this year’s anthem, with the tournament heading to New York.
“The Worlds anthem is the music moment that League players look forward to the most each year, and with Worlds coming to New York this year, True Damage felt like the perfect artist to take on the anthem,” Egan said.

She added that the group reflects the host city’s diversity by bringing together different voices, styles, and cultures, mirroring the international community that comes together for Worlds.
SOYEON also expressed her excitement about returning to True Damage and contributing to this year’s anthem.
“It’s such an honor to be part of True Damage again, especially for this year’s Worlds anthem,” she said. “I can’t wait to see the reactions of League’s fans when they hear the song. I’m really excited to create an amazing opening ceremony with all the League players and fans.”
For Jones, the collaboration offers a new way to connect with audiences through music and storytelling. Mensa shared that he enjoyed exploring Ekko’s character and incorporating elements of the champion’s story into his verse, while Reyes described the experience as an opportunity to connect with different cultures and musical influences.
The four artists bring diverse backgrounds to the project. SOYEON is a rapper, producer, and member of i-dle who has also contributed to Riot Games’ virtual music groups K/DA and True Damage. Jones is a Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter and actress known for her R&B music. Mensa is a Grammy-nominated musician, actor, entrepreneur, and philanthropist from Chicago, while Reyes is a Mexican singer-songwriter and actress recognized for her work in Latin pop.
The League of Legends World Championship, also known as Worlds, is the game’s premier annual esports tournament, bringing together qualified teams from professional leagues around the world. The 2026 competition is being held in the United States, with the Play-In Stage beginning October 15 in Los Angeles.
True Damage is set to perform at the Worlds 2026 Opening Ceremony, presented by Mastercard, on November 14 at Barclays Center in New York.
With “Know My Name,” Riot Games reunites its virtual music collective for a new chapter, connecting the worlds of music, gaming, and international esports competition as teams prepare to compete for the 2026 World Championship title.
