Inigo Pascual marked his 29th birthday with the release of his latest self-penned single, “Pagdating ng Panahon,” an emotional song about holding on for someone special who is far away.
The Kapamilya singer-songwriter also dropped the official music video on the ABS-CBN Star Music YouTube channel, with BINI member Mikha Lim portraying his best friend and love interest.
Filmed in both the Philippines and Australia, the music video was helmed by Richard Goot and Inigo’s father, Kapamilya actor Piolo Pascual.
According to Inigo, the idea came from Piolo while they were touring Australia. “It was my dad’s idea when we were on a tour in Australia. My dad was doing everything—he was finding locations where we were going to shoot,” he shared, describing the project as his father’s first time taking on that kind of role for one of his music videos.
Inigo also revealed that Mikha was his personal choice for the project. Their shared circle of friends made the collaboration a natural fit, and he was grateful that the BINI member agreed to participate despite the group’s busy schedule.
“She was our first choice when my dad decided to film the stuff in Australia. We have the same group of friends. I’m glad she was nice enough and willing to do it,” Inigo said.
“Pagdating ng Panahon” tells the story of someone patiently waiting for love to arrive at the right moment, holding on to the hope that the person he loves will eventually realize he has been there all along.
The song continues the story introduced in Inigo’s previous single, “Ikaw at Ikaw,” which carries a similar message of devotion and longing.
“It was like a continuation of my thoughts from ‘Ikaw at Ikaw,’” Inigo said.
Both “Pagdating ng Panahon” and “Ikaw at Ikaw” are set to be included in Inigo’s upcoming album.
