Netflix will premiere The Scandal globally on September 18, starring Son Ye-jin, Ji Chang-wook, and NANA in a provocative Joseon-era romance inspired by Pierre Choderlos de Laclos’ classic novel Dangerous Liaisons.
Directed by Jung Ji-woo, the series follows Lady Cho, a bold noblewoman who challenges social expectations; Jo-won, Joseon’s notorious playboy; and Hui-yeon, a woman drawn into their dangerous wager.

The newly released teaser introduces the high-stakes game that threatens to disrupt Bukchon, the center of Joseon’s elite society. Lady Cho proposes the wager, Jo-won accepts the challenge, and Hui-yeon becomes the unsuspecting target as desire, deception, and ambition collide.

The teaser posters offer a closer look at the three leads, with Son Ye-jin portraying the mysterious Lady Cho, Ji Chang-wook playing the confident and charming Jo-won, and NANA as Hui-yeon, who becomes entangled in their scheme.

Blending a classic story of temptation with a modern perspective and lavish Korean period aesthetics, The Scandal explores desire, deception, and the consequences of defying social expectations.
The Scandal premieres September 18, exclusively on Netflix.
