It’s Showtime continues to strengthen its connection with audiences online, reaching 10 billion social media views across Facebook, Instagram, X, and TikTok since expanding its digital presence in 2016.
The milestone comes as Showtime Online U (SOU) celebrates its 10th anniversary, marking a decade of bringing the noontime program’s entertainment closer to madlang people in the Philippines and around the world.
The anniversary celebration featured a special performance from SOU hosts Wize Estabillo, AC Soriano, Nicki Morena, Lorraine Galvez, JM Dela Cerna, Marielle Montellano, Anthony Castillo, Anne Tenorio, Jannah Alanise, Mackie Empuerto, Eris Gonzaga, and Zeah Pala. The hosts and madlang onliners later gathered at the Dolphy Theater for a celebration filled with music, games, and performances.
For SOU host Nicki Morena, the milestone is especially meaningful as she has experienced Showtime from different perspectives—as a contestant, host, and OFW-turned-viewer who returned to the Philippines for the anniversary celebration.
“Na-experience ko yung Showtime from different sides—bilang contestant, host, at OFW—kaya mas na-realize ko kung gaano ka-importante ang SOU para sa mga OFW na malayo sa Pilipinas,” she said.
Meanwhile, AC Soriano emphasized SOU’s role in making It’s Showtime accessible to viewers wherever they may be.
“Para siyang bridge of happiness. Dati, sa TV mo lang aabangan ng alas-dose, pero ngayon kahit nasa MRT ka o nasa abroad bilang OFW, pwede mo nang mapanood ang It’s Showtime,” he said.
For the past decade, Showtime Online U has given madlang people and madlang onliners an avenue to interact, participate, and enjoy the program beyond the television screen.
As It’s Showtime moves toward its 17th year, audiences can look forward to more entertainment and memorable moments from their favorite hosts and segments, including the much-awaited Magpasikat.
