Thai digital superstar Aon Somrutai made a memorable first visit to the Philippines, marking an exciting new chapter in her career as the newest artist under GLXY Talent Management and Universal Records Philippines.
Renowned for her lifestyle, fashion, luxury, and travel content, Aon has built a massive following across social media, becoming one of Thailand’s most recognizable digital personalities. Her signature catchphrase, “Thank You, Kateyki!”, has gone viral across Asia, earning her millions of fans worldwide. Accompanied by her husband, affectionately known to followers as “Doctor,” Aon arrived in Manila on July 13 for a packed schedule of media appearances, exclusive collaborations, and special engagements aimed at introducing her to Filipino audiences.

Her Philippine journey began with a warm welcome dinner at Lola Ote Restaurant, where members of the press, digital media, and content creators gathered to meet the Thai sensation. During the intimate event, Aon sat down for interviews and mingled with guests, including Drag Race Philippines Season 2 star M1ss Jade So and popular TikTok creators Evan Tan and Andrea So, who gave her a warm Filipino welcome.
To make her first visit even more memorable, Aon received a thoughtfully curated selection of local gifts. Babina Balloons presented her with a colorful balloon bouquet, while Common Room PH and Pop Junk Love prepared a banig bag filled with Filipino favorites, including chichirya, dried mangoes, a pamaypay, a traditional wooden back scratcher, and adorable plush versions of iconic Filipino street food such as fishballs, kwek-kwek, and isaw.

One of the highlights of her visit was a collaboration with social media personality Small Laude, who invited Aon and her husband to film a mukbang video for her social media platforms. During the shoot at Lola Ote Restaurant, Small introduced the couple to authentic Filipino cuisine through some of the restaurant’s signature dishes, including its famous sisig and barbecue, giving Aon a delicious first taste of Filipino comfort food.

On July 14, Aon took center stage for an exclusive MEGA Magazine cover shoot at Salon de Ning inside The Peninsula Manila. While at the iconic hotel, she filmed a playful video riding a seated electric scooter while wearing an elegant evening gown. The clip quickly captured the internet’s attention, generating more than 11 million views on Instagram and over 3 million views on TikTok, further expanding her reach among Filipino audiences.
The following day, Aon made a special guest appearance on the hit noontime show It’s Showtime, where she delighted viewers by dancing to the viral track “Oooh La La Baby” by the Baby Dolls, earning enthusiastic cheers from the live audience and fans watching across the country.
Throughout her stay, Seda Vertis North served as her home in Manila, while Transportverse provided her official transportation, ensuring smooth travel to her photoshoots, interviews, television appearances, and other engagements throughout the city. Completing her glamorous look for every appearance was a talented local beauty team composed of hairstylists Mark Anthony Rosales and Vannie Claveria, together with makeup artists Pam Carreon and Make Up by MIRS.
Aon’s successful Philippine debut signals the beginning of an exciting partnership with GLXY Talent Management and Universal Records Philippines. Buoyed by the warm reception from Filipino fans and the viral success of her Manila content, the Thai star is already preparing for more music releases, brand collaborations, media appearances, and special projects. If her first trip is any indication, Filipino fans can look forward to welcoming Aon Somrutai back to the Philippines very soon.
