Having an opinion is part of the game on GMA Network’s The People Have Spoken, where celebrity players, known as the Celebripeeps, weigh in on a wide range of topics while encouraging healthy conversations with the studio audience.

For Janeena Chan, being opinionated comes with the responsibility of standing by one’s beliefs while remaining open to respectful discussions.

“Kailangan kong magkaroon ng sarili kong stand in life. Important nga talaga to have your own opinions and be firm about it. Hindi naman kailangan same lagi ‘yung answer or ‘yung opinion, basta you know, manatiling healthy ‘yung conversation,” she said.

Tim Yap believes the show reflects today’s culture of diverse perspectives, emphasizing that conversations should focus on understanding rather than proving who is right.

“Sa panahon ngayon hindi na siya right or wrong. It’s right or left. Iba-iba ang opinyon, kaya dapat magrespetuhan tayo. Ang The People Have Spoken ay isang platform para magkarinigan tayo at maintindihan ang isa’t isa,” he shared.

For content creator Joy Barcoma, being a Celebripeep offers another avenue to connect with people through relatable experiences.

“It gives me another perspective. When you do content, malaya ka sa paggawa ng mga bagay that you think a lot of people can relate to. As a Celebripeep, you speak for yourself and for the experiences of other people, as well,” she explained.

Meanwhile, Baus Rufo sees humor as an effective way to tackle serious topics and make conversations more approachable.

“I always try to find the joy or the comedic angle in a particular topic na medyo seryoso. So, nakakatuwa na ‘yun ‘yung role ko, na gagaan ‘yung pakiramdam ng mga tao sa issues o mga tanong na baka minsan medyo naloloka na tayo kakaisip sa kanila,” he said.

Hosted by Heart Evangelista and Sean Lucas, The People Have Spoken blends entertainment with conversation by giving celebrity players and the studio audience the opportunity to share their views on relatable and timely topics.

The People Have Spoken airs every Saturday at 6:15 p.m. on GMA-7 and Kapuso Stream. Global Pinoys can also watch via GMA Pinoy TV, while full episodes are available on the YouLOL YouTube channel.
