OceanaGold (Philippines), Inc. (OGP) President and General Manager for External Affairs and Social Performance, Atty. Joan D. Adaci-Cattiling, has been recognized as a recipient of the 2026 Ifugao Achievers’ Award under the “Chief Executive Officer or its Equivalent” category.

The award was presented on June 8 during the opening program of the 60th Founding Anniversary of the Province of Ifugao and the Gotad ad Ifugao 2026 celebration, which honors outstanding Ifugaos for their achievements across various fields.

This marks the second time Atty. Adaci-Cattiling has been recognized by the province, having previously been honored for placing in the Top 5 of the 2000 Philippine Bar Examinations.

In her acceptance message on behalf of the awardees, she highlighted the shared heritage, resilience, and excellence of the Ifugao people, emphasizing that the recognition reflects not only individual accomplishments but also the support of communities and the wisdom of ancestors.

Atty. Adaci-Cattiling has spent nearly two decades with OGP, leading initiatives in stakeholder engagement, social performance, and community development. She has also championed responsible mining practices and programs that support Indigenous Peoples and cultural preservation, including the company’s Indigenous Peoples’ Culture Revitalization Program, which has benefited around 450 participants.

She likewise encouraged the youth of Ifugao to take pride in their identity and pursue their aspirations with confidence and purpose.

Adding to the family’s achievement, her brother, Retired Vice Admiral Toribio D. Adaci Jr., former Flag Officer in Command of the Philippine Navy, was also recognized during the ceremony under the national-level positions category.

Established through Provincial Ordinance No. 2006-040, the Ifugao Achievers’ Award recognizes individuals whose accomplishments bring honor and distinction to the province.
