Following the success of hit action-drama series Mga Batang Riles, Sanggang-Dikit FR, Never Say Die, and the recently premiered The Master Cutter, the GMA Network Entertainment Group officially launches its newest high-stakes action-drama series, Taskforce Firewall, premiering May 25.
Designed to raise awareness and promote the prevention of cybercrime through compelling storytelling, Taskforce Firewall follows a group of individuals brought together by fate and united by one mission: to become cyber protectors in an increasingly dangerous digital world.
Leading the powerhouse ensemble cast is Kylie Padilla as Isa Cervantes, the disciplined strategist and emotional core of the Firewall team, burdened by the legacy of her parents. Joining her is Miguel Tanfelix as Galo Villareal, a former soldier haunted by personal trauma and thrust into the fight against cybercrime.
Also joining the team is Jak Roberto as Hex Silverio, a survivor-turned-hacker whose intelligence becomes a powerful weapon in solving crimes. Kyline Alcantara plays Callie Sandoval, the team’s sharp and sophisticated financial expert, while Buboy Villar stars as Jhay-jhay Gonzaga, the Firewall team’s drone and video specialist with a keen eye for VFX.
Adding emotional depth and gravitas to the series are some of the industry’s respected veteran actors. Allen Dizon portrays Hernan, a father hoping to reconnect with his daughter Isa, while Dominic Ochoa takes on the role of Franco, the PBI director determined to push the Firewall team to its limits. Glenda Garcia appears as Tita Glo, a nurturing yet practical presence within the PBI office.
Also part of the cast are Rodjun Cruz, Shayne Sava, Cheska Fausto, Anna Abad Santos, and John Vic De Guzman, with special participation from Yasmien Kurdi, Mark Herras, and Lexi Gonzales.
Directed by Rico Gutierrez with Associate Director Mark Kevin De Vela, Taskforce Firewall aims to go beyond entertainment by promoting awareness, resilience, and justice in the digital age.
Catch Taskforce Firewall beginning May 25, airing Mondays to Fridays at 8:55 p.m. after The Master Cutter on GMA Prime, and streaming via Kapuso Stream and GMA Play, with a delayed telecast on GTV. Global audiences can also watch through GMA Pinoy TV.
