“It’s Showtime” host Cianne Dominguez explores the emotional highs and lows of love in her debut extended play (EP) titled “Gumamellow.”
A blend of the words gumamela and mellow, “Gumamellow” reflects the soft, feminine side of Cianne’s musical style across five tracks. The EP includes three new songs: “Gumamellow,” “Layag,” and “Sikreto,” along with her previously released singles “Traffic” and “Shot Puno.” All tracks were written and produced by her fellow “It’s Showtime” host, Teddy Corpuz.
The standout track “Layag” paints a poetic picture of navigating love like sailing through ocean waves with a significant other. The song earned a spot on Spotify’s Fresh Finds Philippines playlist.
Cianne first ventured into music last year with her debut single “Traffic.” This was followed by her Valentine’s release “Shot Puno,” a relatable anthem about feeling a little drunk on love.
Before entering the music scene, Cianne made waves as a beauty queen and grand finalist in the “It’s Showtime” segment “Sexy Babe.” She eventually became a regular on the noontime show.
