US rock legends Incubus have officially revealed the title of their upcoming ninth studio album, Something In The Water, just ahead of their massive sold-out performance at The O2 in London.
The band, who recently wrapped recording their first album since 2017’s 8, had been teasing fans with updates. Frontman Brandon Boyd confirmed the album’s completion in an interview with Flux FM, saying, “I think it’s a really great record, and I’m really proud of it—and all of us in the band are really proud of it. We had a wonderful time recording it.”
This marks Incubus’ first release featuring new bassist Nicole Row, who Boyd described as “a breath of fresh air” and praised for her “amazing ideas” and how quickly she became “a very fast asset to the band.”
The band made the album title announcement in dramatic fashion, projecting Something In The Water along the River Thames, and later sharing the reveal on their official Instagram page. The reveal came during their visit to London, where they played their iconic 2001 album Morning View in full to a packed crowd at The O2.
Something In The Water is now available for pre-order. More announcements are expected soon.
