Ovation Productions announced on May 13 that NCT DoJaeJung will be visiting the Philippines on June 24, 2023. The highly anticipated event, titled “NCT DoJaeJung’s Scented Symphony: Perfume Fancon in Manila,” will take place at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.
NCT DoJaeJung consists of three members: Doyoung, Jaehyun, and Jungwoo. As a sub-unit of SM Entertainment’s NCT (Neo-Culture Technology), they are recognized as one of South Korea’s biggest K-pop idol groups. The larger NCT umbrella encompasses more than a dozen members, who actively promote in various groups such as NCT U, NCT 127, NCT Dream, WayV, and the most recent addition, NCT DoJaeJung.
Their debut extended play, “Perfume,” was released on April 17, 2023, featuring the eponymous lead single. The album is characterized by its R&B electro-funk sound. Within the first week of its release, “Perfume” sold over 670,000 copies, setting a new record for K-pop unit sales in the first week according to the Hanteo Chart. Additionally, it reached the top position on the iTunes Top Album Charts in 18 regions. During their promotional activities, NCT DoJaeJung achieved first place in various popular music shows and garnered immense love from their fans. Presently, the album has exceeded 800,000 copies sold on the Circle Chart, solidifying their sustained popularity.
