After almost three years, Enrique Gil is finally back with the Kapamilya network. Enrique decided to go on hiatus due to the unfortunate effects of the pandemic that affected not only the entertainment industry but every establishment in the world, aside from that, the cancelation of ABS-CBN franchise that led to letting go of thousands of employees and releasing of exclusive contracts of artists.
Before setting foot in the Eugenio Lopez Junior Communications Center (ELJ Communications Center) for contract signing again as a Kapamilya actor, his last project with ABS-CBN is a team-up with his long-time loveteam, Liza Soberano, for the romantic comedy series Make It with You. The series ended abruptly because of the pandemic lockdown.
Present at the contract signing of Enrique are Chairperson of ABS-CBN Corporation Mark Lopez, ABS-CBN Chief Executive Officer Carlo L. Katigbak, Chief Operating Officer for Broadcast Cory Vidanes, Managing Director of Star Cinema Kris Gazmen, and Business Unit and Head Of Dreamscape Entertainment Deo Edrinal.
Enrique started his career in the entertainment industry as part of Star Magic Circle Batch 16. His notable acting projects include Mula Sa Puso, Budoy, Princess and I, Mirabella, Muling, and Buksan Ang Puso. He became more active in the industry after being paired with Liza that led to phenomenal success of Forevermore and Dolce Amore, also for the movies Just The Way You Are, Everyday I Love You, My Ex and Whys, and Alone/Together.
Aside from acting, Enrique is known for his dancing expertise where he earned the title King of the Gil, which is also the title of his dance album with Star Music.
