The Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League Philippines (MPL-PH) is back this year for its 10th season with the theme “LAKAS NA10 TO.” Revealed in a pre-launch press conference, Season 10 will celebrate the league’s success as one of the world’s largest and most dominant Mobile Legends: Bang Bang player base.

“In Season 10, we intend to look back to our successful runs with Filipino fans who have contributed to the growth of the league to what it is today. We will also commemorate our globally-competitive esports athletes and talents who have also become an inspiration to young, aspiring players,” said Tonyo Silva, MPL Philippines senior marketing manager. “We thank our fans for their immense support and hope they like the different activities we prepared for them.”

The country is currently the most competitive nation in MLBB worldwide with the most number of global recognitions and victories such as MLBB Southeast Asia Cup titles (3), SEA Games Gold Medals (30th and 31st), and M World Championship (2) under its wing.

Recently, Filipino players and coaches were scouted and invited to join different teams from neighboring countries such as Indonesia and Malaysia, proving that the nation is the birthplace of strength in MLBB Esports.

The Strongest Teams Yet to Clash
MPL-PH Season 10 will commence its Regular Season on 12 August with eight teams: Bren Esports, ECHO, Nexplay EVOS, Smart Omega, ONIC PH, RSG Philippines, TNC Pro Team, and Blacklist International.

Each team will play two best-of-three (BO3) matches with the seven other teams. Points will determine the ranking of the competition, wherein the winning team by 2:0 will get 3 points; the winning team by 2:1 will get 2 points; the losing team by 1:2 grants 1 point; and the losing team by 0:2 gets no point.

For tiebreakers, head-to-head records will be the basis wherein the team with the most points earned against the tied team will emerge as the victor of the tiebreaker.

Meanwhile, Playoffs start on 20 October, where six (6) top teams in the Regular Season point rankings will have the chance to vie for the title and represent the country in the upcoming M4 World Championship.

A Season Like Never Before

The MPL-PH Season 10 will be one of the most-awaited seasons with major rosters changes announced. Blacklist International power duo Danerie James “Wise” Del Rosario and Johnmar “OhMyV33nus” Villaluna are back, after taking a break in Season 9. The team is projected to reclaim its glory after not making it to the playoffs in the previous season.

Bren Esports bids adieu to Allan “Lusty” Castromayor Jr. and jungler Mujahid “Lord Malikk” Malik who will be replaced by amateurs Michael Angelo “KyleTzy” Sayson and Rowgien Stimpson “Owgwen” Unigo.

Superteam ECHO will be composed of Tristan “Yawi” Cabrera, Karl Gabriel “KarlTzy” Nepomuceno, Frederic Benedict “Bennyqt” Gonzales, Frediemar “3Mar” Serafico, and Jankurt Russel “KurtTzy” Matira. Archie “Tictac” Reyes will replace former head coach Michael Angelo “Arcadia” Bocado who has joined Indonesian Mobile Legends powerhouse RRQ Hoshi.

For Nexplay EVOS, Setsuna Ignacio, commonly known as “Dogie” will join as “BATUTE” together with John Paul “H2wo” Salonga, Mariusz “Donut” Tan, Emanual “Elpizo” Candelaria, and James “Jeymz” Gloria.

It will be a major overhaul for ONIC Philippines with new players representing the organization. The roster consists of players Ralph “Rapidoot” Adrales, Kenneth “Nets” Barro, Stephen Jasper “Sensui” Castillo, Frince Miguel “SUPER FRINCE” Ramirez, and Landher “Der” San Gabriel.

Meanwhile, MSC 2022 champions RSG PH will retain its main five players Jonard Cedrix “Demonkite” Caranto, Dylan “Light” Catipon, Eman “EMANN” Sangco, Arvie “Aqua” Antonio, and Nathanael “Nathzz” Estrologo. Smart Omega and TNC Pro Team followed suit.

Strong mobile esports ecosystem for S10
Smart Communications, Inc. continues its partnership with MPL-PH this season, as the official telco partner to provide the tournament with high speed internet connectivity. Meanwhile, McDonald’s Philippines joins the pool of official sponsors alongside Samsung and Maya. The popular fast-food chain will be offering Mobile Legends: Bang Bang fans exciting food deals through its McDelivery app.

Meanwhile, quality eyewear products provider EO Executive Optical joins TikTok and Secretlab as partners in esports.
