Netizens are all praises for the official poster of ABS-CBN’s upcoming drama series “The Broken Marriage Vow,” the Philippine adaptation of BBC’s “Doctor Foster” that stars Jodi Sta. Maria and finally airs on January 24 on various platforms.

The attention-grabbing poster, designed by artist Justin Besana, depicts a shattered reflection of Jodi on a mirror, revealing a red, rose-shaped cavity containing the faces of Zanjoe Marudo, Sue Ramirez, and Zaijian Jaranilla. Besana is also the creative force behind the widely applauded posters of ABS-CBN Film Restoration’s digitally restored movies.

The poster was uploaded by the stars and various ABS-CBN social media accounts, becoming a hot topic online as it has earned over 70,000 likes.

Besana said in an interview that he drew inspiration from the original BBC series’ and the other international adaptations’ posters for his own design’s color palette and theme. He also noted the use of the red rose as the “unique” centerpiece to represent the main character’s “beautiful and deadly” marriage.

“The Broken Marriage Vow,” which is shot entirely in Baguio, follows Dra. Jill Ilustre (Jodi), a dedicated wife and mom who falls into a spiral of paranoia and destructive behavior after she finds out that her husband David (Zanjoe Marudo) is cheating on her with another woman, Lexy (Sue Ramirez). Jill and David’s image of a happy family also gets destroyed as their conflict takes a toll on their son Gio (Zaijian Jaranilla).

Directed by Concepcion Macatuno and Andoy Ranay, the series also stars Jane Oineza, Angeli Bayani, Bianca Manalo, Ketchup Eusebio, Rachel Alejandro, Art Acuña, Empress Shuck, Joem Bascon, Brent Manalo, Malou Crisologo, Franco Laurel, Sandino Martin, Lao Rodriguez, Jet Gaitan, Jie Anne Armero, Migs Almendras, Avery Clyde, and JB Agustin, with the special participation of Susan Africa and Ronnie Lazaro.

Watch “The Broken Marriage Vow” beginning January 24 at 8:40 PM on Kapamilya Channel, TV5, A2Z, Kapamilya Online Live on ABS-CBN Entertainment’s YouTube channel and Facebook page, iWantTFC, and TFC.

Alongside the high-level competition, a range of cultural and entertainment programmes will help cement the championship’s status as a leading international event and a meeting point for emerging talent.
