The showdown for Tawag ng Tanghalan Quarter 2 Semi-Finals kicks off with the audition song as theme. Contenders Christofer Mendrez, Andrey Magada, Phoebe Salvatierra, Marielle Montellano and Pauline Agupitan performed the songs that they sang during their first performance in the Tawag ng Tanghalan stage.
Rockboy-calista of Cebu, Christofer performed Don’t Stop Believin’ by Journey followed by Endearing Balladeer of Bocaray, Andey with James Ingram’s There’s No Easy Way.
Meanwhile, the Fab Biritera of Olongapo, Phoebe performed Whitney Houston’s I Wanna Dance With Somebody and Vice Ganda enjoyed dancing with it together with Anne Curtis.
Lastly, returning contenders from quarter 1 that made it to the semi-finals in Q2 including Singing Voice Actress of Cebu, Marielle performed Natalie Cole’s Inseparable and Big Sister Belter of Batangas, Pauline belted Eric Carmen’s All By Myself.
Aside from the judges’ vote, viewers of Tawag ng Tanghalan can vote to their favorite semi-finalists thru text but they can only vote one per SIM and one per day. Winners of the Q2 semi-finals will joined Maricel Callo and Mary Gidget de Llana from Q1 in the Grand Finals. It will be a week-long showdown until the announcement of the winner will be on Saturday, June 11. Tawag ng Tanghalan airs Monday to Saturday with in It’s Showtime.
