After the showdown of teams of Sarah Geronimo and Apl de Ap last February 7 for The Voice of the Philippines Season 2 where Daryl Ong, Alisah Bonaobra, Kokoi Baldo, Monique Lualhati, Mackie Cao and Jason James Dy were saved in the competition, the teams Lea Salonga and Bamboo need to flex their vocal chords in order to move to the next live competition. And the crowd already cast their votes and even the coaches. The contestants who are moving to the next live show for Teams Lea and Bamboo are Leah Patricio, Timmy Pavino, Rence Rapanot, Rita Martinez, Nino Alejandro and Tanya Diaz.
The first two contestants from Team Lea who are safe because of public vote are Leah and Timmy. Meanwhile for Team Bamboo, the contestants with highest number of votes are Rence and Rita. In the coaches choice, Lea and Bamboo choose Nino and Tanya respectively.
The journey of Miro of Team Lea and Kai of Team Bamboo officially ended.
During their performance Team Lea started the round with Nino singing Living On A Prayer followed by Timmy with My Heart Will Go On. Miro and Leah performed Kiss From A Rose and Healing respectively. Next was Team Bamboo with Rita singing Sweet Dreams followed by Tanya with the song Take Me To The Church And lastly Kai and Rence simging Jealous and Para Sa Masa.
Luis Manzano and Toni Gonzaga host the Voice of the Philippines with V Reporters Robi Domingo and Alex Gonzaga. The show airs on ABS-CBN after MMK on Saturdays and Rated K on Sundays.
