Filipina contestant Marlisa Punzalan wins The X-Factor Australia 2014

After Rose “Osang” Fostanes who won The X-Factor Israel in 2013, another Filipina landed as the grand winner of in The X-Factor franchise. In the Season 6 of The X-Factor Australia a Filipina named Marlisa Punzalan became the winner of the said competition. She won over Dean Ray who was named 2nd placer and Brothers 3 who landed on the 3rd place.

During the competition it reported that Marlisa only had 0.01% advantage from Dean during their face-off competition that made difference and change her life at the early age of 15. She performed Yesterday, Never Be The Same with the singer Jess Mauboy, and her winner’s single Stand By You.

Here’s one of her performance in The X-Factor Australia 2014 competition:

She was under the mentoring of former Boyzone member Ronan Keating who handles Under 25 Girls group. While the runner up; Dean was under the group of Natalie Bassingthwaighte which was Under 25 Boys and Brothers3 under the “Group” team of Dannii Minogue. Redfoo didn’t have a contender in the finale of The X-Factor Australia 2014.
