After their journey in The Voice Kids Philippines, grand winner Lyca Gairanod and runner-up Juan Karlos Labajo aka JK will be joining the cast of Hawak Kamay, ABS-CBN’s family oriented drama series on Primetime Bida. JK was the first one who entered the show and already did his first few tapings while Lyca started her taping as of August 23.
Lyca and JK will be joining the cast lead by Piolo Pascual and Iza Calzado. They will be added to the current cast including the country’s top child stars including Zaijian Jaranilla, Andrea Brillantes, Xyriel Manabat, Yesha Camile.
This will be JK’s first acting project after The Voice Kids, while Lyca had her acting debut in Maalaala Mo Kaya last Aug. 16 where she portrayed herself in her life story. She was joined by Malou de Guzman who played her mother in the story. Her MMK episode gained nationwide rating of 38.4% according to data from Kantar Media, tripling the score of its timeslot counterpart of the rival network’s Magpakainlanman. Aside from the high TV rating her episode gained, the show also trended on Twitter both Philippines and Worldwide.
