Counting down to September 17 in the release of Maria Leonora Teresa in cinemas nationwide, Star Cinema unveiled the full trailer and poster of the much awaited first horror movie offering for 2014 under the direction of Wenn V. Deramas who just came from the success of Galema: Anak ni Zuma that aired in ABS-CBN’s Kapamilya Gold timeslot. Maria Leonora Teresa stars Jodi Sta. Maria, Iza Calzado and Zanjoe Marudo.
The horror film follows the story of three parents who were deeply wounded after a school accident that lead to the death of their daughters, Maria, Leonora and Teresa. During their grief a mysterious person approached them and presented dolls that almost look like their deceased daughters. They thought it will help them to move on but instead it brought darkness to their homes. Watch the full trailer below:
Star Cinema also releases the official poster that really gave a creepy feeling and a preview of what the movie will be.
Maria Leonora Teresa was Star Cinema’s first horror film for 2014 which will be followed by Feng Shui (2) which will be the entry for Metro Manila Film Festival 2014 on December that stars Coco Martin and Kris Aquino.
