After the issuance of warrant of arrest against businessman Cedric Lee, model Deniece Cornejo, Jed Fernandez, Simeon Raz and Ferdinand Guerrero in regards to the serious illegal detention case filed by TV host and comedian Vhong Navarro last Monday (April 21), Justice Secretary Leila De Lima said that one of the alleged suspects in the mauling incident was talking to their witness protection program and wants to be a state witness. De Lima cannot name the said person for security purpose.
But the justice secretary shared that according to the person who is now volunteering to be a witness said that the entire incident planned by Lee’s group. They called the incident as Oplan Bugbog.
Meanwhile, Lee’s sister Bernice and Jose Paolo Gregorio Calma were not included at the serious illegal detention case that received warrant of arrest from the Taguig Regional Trial Court thru the Southern Police District. The serious illegal detention case was non-bailable offense unlike the grave coercion that was filled against them last April 16 that they can bail for Php 12, 000.
Unlike, Bernice who was arrested last night (April 21) and stayed in jail for a night and released this morning after bailing out.
The two case were filed by Navarro and found by the court with probable cause meanwhile, the rape case filed by Deniece was junked.
