Coming from the success of Ina Kapatid Anak, Kim Chiu returns to primetime television starting March 10 to play the role of Isabelle in the much awaited teleserye of ABS-CBN entitled Ikaw Lamang. The story is set between 1960’s to 1980’s where the ruling class are the land owners and the rich. At the same time, education lacks in the said community that hinders them to know their rights. Joining Kim in Ikaw Lamang are Coco Martin, Julia Montes and Jake Cuenca.
The story will focus on a love tested by time and social differences where Isabelle will end up betraying the will of her parents played by John Estrada and Angel Aquino by falling in love in one of the workers in the farm. That person is Samuel (Coco) who was a childhood friend to Isabelle but they were separated after she needed to study. Now with her return, will that love between her and Samuel worth fighting for?
Ikaw Lamang marks the reunion of Kim Chiu and Coco Martin after Tayong Dalawa in 2009 and Kung Tayo’y Magkakalayo in 2010. Unlike the first two teleserye where Coco plays the antagonist in the story, he will be Kim’s love interest.
Ikaw Lamang also stars Cherry Pie Picache, Ronaldo Valdez, Cherie Gil, Tirso Cruz III, Daria Ramirez, Ronnie Lazaro, Spanky Manikan, Merryll Soriano and Lester Llansang. It is directed by Malu L. Sevilla and Avel E. Sunpongco.
