The long wait is finally over for the Windows smartphone or Nokia Lumia device owners to join the Instagram bandwagon. Nokia officially announced that most popular image and video sharing mobile application that was first introduced in iOs devices (iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch) and later on Android smartphones and tablet will now be available in the Windows Phone Store for free and on a beta status.
Now, Nokia Lumia smartphone owners can now fully enjoy sharing their photos on their social media accounts including Twitter, Tumblr, Foursquare and Facebook which are all linked in Instragram plus they can add more captions, edit photo textures and with minor editing options including crop and tilt. With the arrival of Instragram on the Windows smartphones it will give Nokia Lumia a security of having a sure market because of this photo and video social media sharing app plus knowing Lumia has the edge in photo and video quality in both regular and low light.
Instagram was created by Kevin Systrom and Mike Krieger and launched in October 2010. The service rapidly gained popularity, with over 100 million active users as of April 2012. Photo and video filters for Instagram includes Normal, X-Pro II, Earlybird, Lomo-fi, Sutro, Toaster, Brannan, Valencia, Inkwell, Walden, Hefe, Nashville, 1977, and Lord Kelvin with video uploading capacity up to 15 seconds.
