Google to open office in the Philippines

From Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia and Malaysia, Google Inc will be opening its fifth (5th) office in Southeast Asia and it will be here in the Philippines. The said announcement was done during the official launch of Google Philippines with the Julian Persaud, Managing Director of Google in Southeast Asia and Communications Department Undersecretary Manuel L. Quezon III.

Persaud mentioned that Philippines plays a key country in the Southeast Asia in terms of its digital economy and for being tech savvy of the Filipinos. According to Narciso Reyes, Google Country Manager for the Philippines, they are very exciting in terms of deepening investment in the country that will be possible in the opening of Google office in the Philippines.

Meanwhile, in line with the opening of the opening of Google office in the Philippines, they will be start sourcing Filipino talents and skills in terms of content, technical and marketing very soon which all the vacant positions will be posted in the job section of Google Philippines (http://www.google.com.ph/about/jobs). The Google Philippines office will be in Makati.

Being the leading search engine and online/mobile service provider in terms of email, maps, android contents, games and others, Google will be continuing to strengthen their Free Zone mobile service that will lift data charges for mobile users who will be using Google+, GMail, and Google Search through their mobile phones when they connect 3G or GPRS.
